Pritisha’s educational journey began with a General Secondary Education Certificate in the Scientific Stream from Amman, Jordan in 1982. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Karachi University, Pakistan, earning a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Applied Chemistry in 1987, followed by an M.Sc. in Applied Chemistry (Chemical Process Industries – Organic) from the same institution in 1989. Pritisha continued her academic pursuit with a Ph.D. in Industrial Chemistry (Polymer Technology) at Mosul University, Iraq, completing her doctoral dissertation on the synthesis of unsaturated poly-Schiff’s bases and their electrical conductivity in 1997, supervised by Prof. Dr. Yousif A. Shahab. Her research interests and academic achievements have contributed significantly to the fields of industrial chemistry and polymer technology.
Professional Experience
Pritisha has held various roles in academia and administration throughout her career. She currently serves as a Professor in the Scientific Basic Sciences Department at Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU), Jordan, a position she has held since August 2023. Prior to this, she was an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in different departments within the Faculty of Engineering Technology at BAU. Her administrative experience includes significant roles such as Vice-Dean for Financial & Administrative Affairs and Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Engineering Technology. Pritisha has also contributed to the university’s strategic committees and played pivotal roles in obtaining quality assurance certificates. Before her academic career, she served in administrative and teaching capacities at various educational institutions in Jordan, highlighting her dedication to both educational excellence and administrative leadership.
