RelwendĆ© SAWADOGO has an impressive academic background in economics. He obtained his aggregation in Economic Sciences from CAMES in November 2021. From 2013 to 2016, he completed a doctorate in Development Economics at the University of Auvergne, France. He also obtained a DEA/Master-2 in Economics with an option in Applied Macroeconomics from Ouaga II University in 2011, with honors. In 2009, he obtained a Master’s degree in Macroeconomics and Development Management at Ouaga II University, also with honors. Previously, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Macroeconomics and Development Management in 2008 and a DEUG II in Economics and Management in 2007, both with honors “Assez Bien” at the University of Ouagadougou. Professional Experience
RelwendĆ© SAWADOGO has acquired a wealth of professional experience as a teacher-researcher and expert in economics. Since October 2023, he has been a member of the committee responsible for evaluating the ā2014-2023 Strategic and Operational Plan of the University of Ouagadougouā, where he measures the performance and efficiency of training and research activities. Between 2022 and 2023, he served as president of the Regulatory Council of ARCEP-Burkina, supervising monthly sessions and participating in congresses of digital economy regulators. In addition, he was a member of the drafting committee of the performance contract of Joseph KIZERBO University in 2022, contributing to the identification of performance indicators and the drafting of the financing file. He was also a research assistant at the Foundation for Studies and Research on International Development (FERDI) from 2015 to 2016, where he wrote reports on macroprudential regulation and economic growth in low-income countries. At the same time, he participated in the writing of reports for FERDI and UEMOA, as well as in the strategic plan of the BurkinabĆØ National Lottery (LONAB) in 2014. At IBAM of Joseph Ki-Zerbo University, he was responsible for internships and partnerships with companies from 2019 to 2023. Finally, he taught various courses in macroeconomics and econometrics at the Joseph Ki-Zerbo University, the University of Western Brittany and the University of Auvergne.
Research Interest
RelwendƩ SAWADOGO is interested in several areas of economic research, including financial economics, economic and econometric analysis, development financing, and international economics. His research also focuses on public finances, the economics of inequality, and the economics of development. In applied econometrics, he specializes in the analysis of time series and panels, as well as in nonlinear econometrics. In addition, it conducts socio-economic and feasibility studies, and is dedicated to the evaluation and management of development projects.
