Dr. Shilpa Sharma earned her PhD in Nanotechnology (Nanobiotechnology) from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), Assam, India, where she studied from July 2008 to March 2013. Her thesis, titled “Metal Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites as Antibacterial and Anticancer Agents,” was supervised by Prof. Siddhartha Sankar Ghosh and Prof. Arun Chattopadhyay. Prior to her doctoral studies, she completed her B.Tech in Biotechnology at the University School of Biotechnology, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, India, from 2004 to 2008.

Dr. Shilpa Sharma is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences and Engineering, Netaji Subhas University of Technology (formerly Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology), New Delhi, India. Before joining NSUT, she worked as Scientist ‘B’ at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology in Mohali, Punjab. She also served as a Research Associate from April 2013 to February 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Amit Kumar Dinda at the Department of Pathology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Dr. Sharma has substantial experience in nanotechnology and biological sciences, contributing to her current role in academia.
